The Chinese company that owns social media giant TikTok has asked a federal appeals court to block the US government from ordering them to sell the platform or face a ban in America, a report said Tuesday.
The company, ByteDance Ltd., filed a motion for a 30-day extension to avoid a forced divestment required by the US government, Bloomberg reported.
ByteDance was forced into the legal maneuvering after President Trump signed an order banning TikTok because of national security and required the company to sell the platform to American investors. Read more…..
