    <p>This week has been a stark reminder that the global economy’s fragile recovery faces significant hurdles amid a surge in coronavirus cases from the U.S. to Brazil and India. In Australia, they've seen the biggest one-day increase in infections since mid-April as Victoria grapples to contain outbreaks across Melbourne. Many blame the latest outbreaks (albeit minor in comparison to those seen in Italy and Europe) on the Premier, Daniel Andrews, who has recently been coined 'Chairman Dan' in reference to his perceived heavy-handed approach in handling the crisis.
